Nara Neelakrishnan, Green Mountain Power Data Scientist, led a Tableau Workshop for UVM Stat, DS, and Math students.  There was great attendance, interest and engagement as students learned about the app and navigated using it.

Every Fall, the ASA offers the Fall Data Challenge.  This year, the data challenge topic was Food Insecurity.

Challenge –

• Download nara’s tableau work “FARA Analysis (Seniors and Kids)” from tableau public (LINK in presentation).
• Try backtracking and recreating it with Parameter Action Filter (Action filters with PARAMETERS - https://kb.tableau.com/articles/howto/How-To-Make-Filter-Actions-Work-For-Measure-Names-Using-Parameter).
• Create your own version with better  STATS from  FARA and share your work (email in presentation).
• Best 4 submissions get $50 gift card each.
