Karen Benway, Senior Lecturer, in the Math and Stat Department, spoke to the group about Public Health/Biomedical Opportunities and Graduate School.  Here is an outline of the items discussed:

  • Most important math background:  solid calculus & linear algebra
  • Things you might study in graduate school include:  Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Epidemiology, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, Econometrics, Computational Biology, Operations Research, ...

Katherine Merrill provided an internet survey of Post-Bachelor Fellowships links and discussed Teaching Certification for Secondary Education (High School).  Links are provided for two local programs in Burlington.  Here are the slides with the necessary links and information:
